Armstrong Cork Company of Lancaster, PA designed the linoleum Quaker Rug pattern  so that children could amuse themselves all day long looking at nursery rhyme  characters, repeating familiar nursery rhymes, or playing various games. A 1937 company publication described this pattern as “bright, colorful, long-wearing, and easy to clean” as well as “the most novel ever offered in the Quaker Rug Line.”  Each has been cut and framed, and measures 19.5" x 19.5".
